LSC Lighting Patch Bays & Output Panels for Production
Lighting patch bays are integral components for managing and optimising lighting systems in professional production environments. These units provide essential flexibility, allowing theatre technicians, AV engineers, and production managers to efficiently route power from dimmers or distribution units to various lighting fixtures across a venue. By centralising connection points, patch bays simplify complex wiring schemes and facilitate rapid reconfiguration for different shows or events. The LSC Lighting Redback Rack Mount Units exemplify this utility, offering a practical solution for installations where a dedicated dimmer channel for every outlet is not feasible. These systems enable hard-wired outlets to connect to a central patch bay, which then provides flying leads for connection to dimmer packs. This setup allows specific lights to be selected and patched into available dimmer channels as required by the production, maximising the utility of existing infrastructure. Complementing patch bay functionality, output panels like the LSC Lighting OP12/10A provide robust power distribution. This 2RU unit offers twelve 10A GPOs on its front panel, with corresponding extension looms on the rear for seamless integration with 3RU dimmer or distro modules. For enhanced system diagnostics and safety, the LSC Redback Test Module (RBP/T) integrates a 10A test outlet, MCB/RCD protection, a 50W test load, and an ammeter, ensuring reliable load and source testing with overload indicators.
